Our Balcony This Summer.

Hello! :) Remember our balcony this spring after I had just started planting everything after winter or do you remember all the balcony photos from last year? :)
During the past few months, everything has been growing like crazy! One part were tiny plants which we either bought or got from my mother, the other part included flowers I have grown myself. :) I'm super proud of this pretty oasis and I always enjoy how colorful it's outside my bedroom!
Mhhh, so delicious! Back in spring, my mother has sent me six different kind of tomato plants and it was lots of fun watching them grow and comparing the taste and look of all of them. Some are tiny and red, some others are big, shaped like a pea and others are super sweet. And all of them are organic.
The cute little bird's house I got from Flo as a birthday present two years ago. :) And of course soap bubbles can't be missing!
Do you sea the white plant sideboad? I found it on the street last year just after someone had thrown it away. One person's trash is another person's treasure! :)
We have lots of different kinds of herbs like oregano, rosemary, thyme, majoram and shives. Some are homegrown, some have already been tiny organic plants when I bought them.
Tiny pops of color everywhere you look: colorful flower pots, tiny paper umbrellas, flowers, felt pinwheels and paper straws.

I love this sight so much! The pillows are handmade, here is the pillow case sewing DIY.
Do you see the sunflowers? They were all grown by me with tiny sunflower seeds, eeeks!

Oh, how much I love this place! Those photos have already been taken more than a month ago (I just didn't find the time to blog them, yet), so in the meantime, the sunflowers and other plants have even been growing bigger! :)
Do you have an own oasis, too? :)

On our balcony - the little oasis.

Hello everyone! :) Aww, thanks for all the cute comments on my latest outfit! :)
Today I wanna share with you how our balcony is currently looking and how I made it ready for my favorite season of the year.
This was our balcony a few weeks ago, showing how everything was left during winter. It took me one whole afternoon to clean and reorganize everything. :)
When days got warmer, we bought some little and inexpensive flower pots to add some color to the balcony. A short time later, we received two huuuuge parcels with organic plants that my mother has ordered, awesome!!! She sent strawberry plants, four different kinds of basil and six (!!) different kinds of tomatoes (among others, really old and natural kinds of tomatoes), can't wait to eat the first ones this summer!
It took some time to carefully repot everything, but this is so relaxing and so much fun! :)
I love the two chairs, the small table and the plant sidetable, all in white. The chairs are vintage and from DaWanda (my mother got them for me as a birthday present last year :)), the table is from a local hardware store and I found the plant sidetable on the street last year. As one lovely follower then wisely commented on my Instagram photo, "one man's trash is another man's treasure!" So true! :)
About three weeks ago, I put sunflower seeds into the pots and I can watch them grow on a daily basis. :) The little bird's house was a birthday present I got from Flo last year, so cute! :) The little lantern was a birthday gift from my lovely fabric store colleague last year and as you can see, there's no perfectly-equipped balcony without soap bubbles. :)
The tomatoes are growing so incredibly fast, unbelievable!
We had some strawberry plants left from last year (they survived winter, yeah!!!) and my mother also got us new ones. The already have lots of blossoms, won't take long until I can harvest fresh strawberries!! :)
Last year, Anja got me fresh peppermint and this also survived winter. :)
This photo has just been taken today after I again repotted some plants. :) The pillows are handmade, the pillow case DIY can be found here on magnoliaelectric. :)

Now our balcony is super ready for summer and the rest of spring, we are enjoying every minute out there. The only thing which is still missing is a parasol, because there's sun on our balcony all day and in summer sometimes even too much sun. :)
Do you have a balcony? Or even are garden (lucky you!!)? ;)

At home on our balcony.

Hello everyone! :) Hopefully you're all enjoying your weekend! I'm spending mine with relaxing, preparing blog posts, sewing and crocheting, I totally need this! :)
A few days ago I took a few photos of the balcony and of how the plants are looking right now. This is the first time in my life I am growing plants myself and it's sooo much fun and I love the tiny oasis right in front of our bedroom!
There's nothing better after work than to have dinner on the balcony, watching the sun go down and having the sweet smell of fresh flowers and herbs in one's nose. :)

I love all the colorful plants, my felt pinwheels, the tiny bird house I got from Flo as a birthday present, my colorful pillows, the flower pots, the white vintage chairs I got from my mother and that everyting's so green outside! :) Love the simple things in life! :)
Happy Saturday!

My favourite place.

Heeelloooo! :) First of all, thank you so much for all the amazing comments concerning my bedcorner's makeover, you made my day! <3
This weekend, it seems that summer's back, finally some more time to sit on our beloved balcony. :) I took a bunch of photos a few weeks ago when Flo was away over the weekend and I sat on the balcony a lot, at least for each snack and meal I had. :) One evening, there was such a pretty sunset, the light was perfect and I sat outside, eating delicious food, watching the sunset and Mogli sitting next to me, just perfect. :)
No it's time for going outside in the sun, wish you all an awesome weekend! :)

A place I really love.

Hello! :) I hope you were having a good week so far! :) Mine was pretty good, a bit of studying and working and lots of sunshine and nice things, such as sewing, sitting outside, delicious food and an evening bike tour with Flo. <3
Where I currently spend lots of time is our balcony. Everything grows so fast and I can't believe that I can already use plenty of  herbs which I've grown myself, that's simply awesome! :) Not only the herbs are growing, but also the sunflowers, it's so much fun to watch them becoming bigger every day. :) It feels so good to sit outside, it's the perfect oasis and I love eating outside or watering the plants after work to relax. :)
What about you? I've seen that some of you are growing their own plants, too, and some even have a garden (that's awesome, even better than a balcony, no question! :)), do you have as much fun as I have? :)
Yay, soon the weekend starts, lots of time to sit on the balcony (and study :D)! :)
Have fun,

Sweeter than sugar.

Heyyy! :) Last weekend, the weather in Potsdam was beyond amazing and we had each meal on our balcony in the sun.
One day, I made pancakes with a pancake mixture we got as a gift from Jenny of wolkengleich . :)
Those pancakes are really sweet and we ate them with berries, mango and fresh, homemade jam.
I loved being outside so much, we had a four day weekend and each day, we've been outside for many hours, sitting on the balcony, going for a walk with Mogli, having a picnic at the lake (photos to come), eating sorbet and enjoying that we were able to get a first glimpse of summer. :)
This weekend, it's cold and rainy, what a pity!
I hope you're having a good time, enjoy your weekend!
