Favorite Shops: Lu Loves Colors.

Hello, hello and happy Sunday! ;) Here's a new article for my regular feature in which I present my favorite shops or favorite restaurants and cafés. Today it's all about Colors, my very favorite place to shop vintage and normal second hand clothes.
Colors is in Berlin-Kreuzberg and you find it in the huge loft of an old industrial building. The place is really huge, filled with tons of second hand clothes, many of them vintage. My very favorite section is the 'fashion by weight' section where I have already found some of my most precious vintage summer dresses for about 5€.
When you go there, you're gonna need plenty of time and patience, because their range of clothes is super huge and it takes some time to see if there's anything of the things you are looking for.
There aren't only clothes, but also many shoes, boots, bags, purses & scarves.
"Colors" is the perfect name for this place, because everything is super colorful and you usually don't know where to look first and which clothes to try on first, so overwhelming. But if you're in the mood for spending some time on finding a precious treasure, this will be the perfect place for your next day in Berlin! :)

Favorite Restaurants and Cafes: Lu Loves Fräulein Burger

Hello everyone! I read about it in Couch magazine, I heard colleagues talking about it, I heard friends talking about it - and then I defintely HAD TO go there!
Since my first visit this past summer (and since when those photos have been waiting on my laptop), Fräulein Burger has become my very very favorite place for eating good burgers and that for two reasons: their burgers are awesome and I absolutely adore the look and overall concept of this restaurant!
When you go there, you'll be overwhelmed of eye candy: Fräulein Burger is lovingly decorated in 60s retro charme, everything is bright, red and white and even the people in the kitchen (into which you can look while you are waiting and eating) and behind the counter wear 60s inspired accessories matching the restaurants interior (oh, how much I love such details).
Not only the restaurant itself is pretty, but also their corporate design including leaflets, menu and burger atwork on the wall. Everything fits so well together, looks super appealing and makes just happy. I'm a total sucker for great concepts like this!
They have a variety of tasty burgers, but you can even put together your own favorite one. You can choose between normal meat buns, vegetarian burgers or even a vegan version. What is more, their homemade fries and vegetable sticks are sooo delicious!
This is one of the meat burgers which Flo has tried, mmmhh!
If you go there, their homemade sauces are a must and they even make ketchup and mayo themselves.
My favorite is the vegetarian burger with salad and goat cheese, oh my god, so incredibly delicious!
And not to forget that all their ingredients are organic and mostly regional, this makes it even better.

While writing this blog post, looking at those photos made my mouth water and I feel the urgent desire to go there again very soon. :)

In case you're gonna go there, you will enjoy the best (veggie) burger you're ever gonna eat! :)
Happy day!
Lu

Favorite Restaurants and Cafes: Lu Loves Glücklich am Park

Do you know those places where you would travel really far just to go there because they are so pretty and it simply makes you happy being there? Kauf Dich Glücklich (in English: Buy yourself happy) and Glücklich am Park (in English: Happy in the park) are some of those places! Kauf Dich Glücklich is a fashion online shop and they also have several small offline stores. Two of them are located in Berlin. One of them is only a cafe, the other one - which is Glücklich am Park - also sells fashion.
For all of you Berlin people among my readers, this place might not be something new for you, but because many of you live somewhere else and often send me e-mails asking for Potsdam and Berlin places which are a must see and go, I couldn't resist showing you this place which belongs to my favorites when spending time in Berlin, in summer as well as in winter.

I always go to Glücklich im Park (or also to Kauf Dich glücklich) because of their nice furniture, their lovely atmosphere and because of their heavenly good waffles, hmmm, but you can also get the best ice cream, savory waffles and good coffee and in summer, they will also serve refreshing drinks.
Everything in there is filled with vintage furniture, pretty pops of color, bright and white walls and cute decor elements.
My very favorite thing there are the sweet waffles with hot cherries or ice cream, my very very favorite ice cream flavor there is Milchschnitte (which is a creamy German sweet treat made with lots of milk and sugar ;)), yum!
What I love a lot are all the colorful chairs and white tables outside, maybe the thing which this place is most famous for. In summer, I love sitting outside and drinking a super refreshing elderflower syrup drink with fresh mint, so delicious!
The whole place is so nice to look at, on the inside as well as on the outside. It simply makes me happy going there and see all the pretty details.
If you're in Berlin, you definitely have to go there and try a waffle, you won't regret it! :)

Favorite Shops: Lu Loves Wohnzimmer

Hello, hello! :) Here's the first post of a new blog category called "Favorite Shops: Lu loves (...)." Because my blog is about all the handmade and pretty other things I love and because there are always so many great things, people, places or shops that I admire and would like to show you, this is definitely worth starting a blog series! :) Moreover, I often receive mails in which people ask me to share sightseeing and shopping advice for Potsdam and Berlin and from now on, I only have to point out my blog series. :) So here we go:
In Berlin next to the Maybachufer, there's a super cute shop called Wohnzimmer (in English: living room). In this shop you can find all kinds of pretty home decor items, kitchenware, pretty interior and everything you need to make your home look more pretty and colorful! :) I came by there about two years ago and since then, I've been visiting this shop several times and always found something useful, but still pretty. I love things you need anyways, but which aren't only useful, but also so pretty that you can enjoy looking at them. Wohnzimmer is definitely the right place for such things! :)
See yourself:

A summer Sunday in Berlin.

Awww, what a great Sunday it was! Yesterday I spent the afternoon with my best friend Anja and her boyfriend in Berlin at the Mauerpark and it was just perfect with this beautiful weather! We had a look at all the second hand stuff on the flea market, listened to the karaoke singers, walked around, took photos and enjoyed the atmosphere. :)
I love the Mauerpark in summer, it's always like a huuuuuge open air festival with so many interesting people, lots of music and foreign food which smells so delicious. Perfect!
Isn't Anja the cutest? :) :*
:*
After being at the Mauerpark, we walked around a little and I played with my camera, looking for pretty things to take a photo of.
In the evening, we had dinner at Fräulein Burger, it was simply delicious! I loved the overall concept of the restaurant, decorated and furnished in 60s style and the burger was soooo good. Eveything there is regional and organic and suuper tasty!
In the end we couldn't resist having a froyo at yoli, mmmh! No perfect summer day without frozen yoghurt!
Although I love Berlin a lot and always enjoy spending time there, I'm always happy to drive home to my beloved Potsdam in the end! :)

How did you spend your Sunday? Have you ever been to the Mauerpark and the awesome open air karaoke in summer? :)
