I love my room and I love all the pretty things that are displayed, but what I don't like is ugly, technical stuff like the DVD player. Thus, I decided to make a tiny curtain for my TV shelf. In case you want to make something similar for your own home, here's a little tutorial.
You need:
- Fabric- All-purpose glue or a hot-glue gun
- Rubber gloves to protect your fingers
- A piece of Velcro fastener
Spread glue onto the back of one side of the Velcro fastener, do this with a few pieces and attach them to your shelf or board, whereever you want the curtain to be. Next, let the glue dry and sew a tiny curtain for the measure of your shelf. It should be a little bit wider than the shelf itself so that you can gather some fabric in the middle and make it look prettier. Next, take the other sides of the Velcro fastener and sew them onto the back of the curtain, right there where you want to attach it to the shelf.
Such an easy project, you don't need curtain rails or a rope and you can easily remove the curtain at any time and it perfectly hides items which aren't so pretty to look at! :)
Have fun!
